Pedro "Pete" is known throughout Fort Myers for his strength, kindness, and unwavering support for his family and friends. As a senior softball player, devoted father, and grandfather, Pete's infectious smile and generosity have touched countless lives. Three weeks ago, Pete suffered a massive and sudden heart attack. He was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital, where he has remained in the ICU for 27 days. The shock of his condition has deeply affected his large family and the many people who rely on him every day for love, support, and guidance.

 Pete is the backbone of his family, always putting others first and never turning down a request for help. Now, as he faces a long and challenging road to recovery, his loved ones are doing everything they can to support him. Pete has begun to breathe on his own, but his kidneys, lungs, and heart still need to regain strength before he can begin the intensive rehabilitation ahead. The financial strain of medical bills, travel, and lost income is mounting, and his family is struggling to manage these burdens while remaining by his side.
