<div>We are setting up this GoFundMe on behalf of our friend Peter Pardo. He is known to his family as a Father,  Husband, Son, Brother, and Grandfather, who would do anything for anybody. And to his YouTube fans on Sea of Tranquility, who have followed him for over 10 years and over 7,000 video episodes, he is a breath of fresh air in their daily routine. He connects to them by way of his posted videos, where he shows off his lifelong knowledge of all things music, a love and passion shared among his thousands of followers and fan, who he proudly calls a 'community.' To his friends, he is a loyal, trusted, and loving friend who is at the center of their many connected experiences; the puzzle piece that still connects them to his day, a mellow, fun-loving music and film connoisseur, cook, baseball fan (GO NY Mets!), musician, and regular concert-goer.

<div>The reason we are suddenly reaching out on his behalf is that a few weeks ago he was dealt a mighty blow. After not feeling like himself and becoming a bit disoriented &amp; fatigued, he was taken to the emergency room. What was supposed to be a simple check-up turned into a nightmare. He was told that the cause of his symptoms was a large brain tumor. This led to immediate brain surgery at a hospital in NYC, far from home, weeks of recovery in the hospital, and lots of expenses as his immediate family fought to stay by his side.

<div>This included the family moving around from hotel to hotel, expensive parking garages (as parking was impossible there), and lots of meals away from home. He has since arrived back at home, but the journey is only now getting started. He is facing a battle with perhaps the most aggressive type of brain cancer one can have. It will be an uphill battle where he will have to endure many uncertainties.

<div>With all that said, he and his family are already so grateful for the outpouring of support he has received. Family and longtime friends have been extremely generous, delivering meals and even mowing his lawn. However, there are still some concerns that continue to plague him: Will he be able to afford the treatments he will need to fight this cancer? Will he and his family be able to cover travel and lodging expenses each time he needs a checkup or consultation? Will he be able to work again? Will his family be financially and emotionally okay should the worst happen?

<div>This is why we have created this GoFundMe page. Truthfully, any help and support is appreciated and valued; Even if it is just to connect with him and let him see how loved he is. Should you decide that you want to give a financial gift (only if you are able), know that Peter and his family are eternally appreciative no matter the amount. Just the thought that there are people out there who want to help him in his time of need would mean the world to him and the Pardo family while he fights this battle.
