Support Pedro's Fight for Alaïa Perez

I am reluctant to start this GoFundMe campaign, but I have found myself in a situation that is out of control. I am currently engaged in the fight of my life and I need the help of all of my friends and family. As many of you know, my daughter Alaïta is my whole world. I am making this GoFundMe for my one year old. I have been involved in a custody case to try to get equal parenting time with her since she was born, Back in April, my daughter's mother did not allow me to see our daughter for three months out of jealousy, despite my many documented efforts to make a calendar for my daughter to see both of her parents equally. It was not until the court ordered my parenting time that my daughter and I were able to reunite.


Since the beginning of this custody case, I have grown $19,000 in debt to lawyers, and am nowhere near my actual custody hearing, as it has been interrupted by covid-19, continuances, and other issues my daughter's mother and I had to work out during the hearing. I have found a lawyer for an average cost of $450 per hour. He has now attended four hearings between my daughter's mother and I, and is set to appear at the date for our custody decision.

I want to emphasize that I know my close friends and family know who my daughter's mother is, and I am asking everyone to please not insult her over the situation, as I want to be able to see my daughter, and do not want Alaïta put in the middle of her mother and I's problems. I just want my daughter to be raised by both of her parents. I will never stop fighting for my Alaïta... I am just asking for some help to get my legal rights as her father. I am currently working two jobs to pay off  these debts, and am trying to take every measure to ensure I can have my parenting time with my baby before she is old enough to comprehend the gravity of her situation, and it will leave long term effects on her. Alaïta is also my parent's first grand-daughter, and having her ripped from our lives has caused an immense amount of heartache. I fear if her mother and I cannot agree on equal time with our daughter, there will soon be financial costs that I cannot handle at this time. If you can donate anything at all to my daughter and I, thank you beyond belief, and know you are in my prayers. You all mean so much to me, so I thank you in advance. I understand how hard times are lately. Please know I wouldn't be asking for your help if it wasn't all for my little girl, Alaïta. Even just $1 will go a long way. Alaïa needs her father in her life.

Fathers should have equal rights to their children, and in the end, our children suffer the most when mom and dad can’t get along. 
Please help me ensure Alaïa does not need to go through this much longer.
