Dear friends, neighbours, and the Sussex & Kent street food customer and community, Many of you know Pramod Poudel — affectionately known to everyone as Pedro—as the warm, hard-working face behind the MoMo Nepalese Street Food truck. Today, he and his family urgently need our community's support.Following the recent devastating flash floods on the Nepal-Tibet border, four members of Pedro’s immediate family—his mother, his wife, his brother, and his uncle—have tragically gone missing.Pedro has dropped everything to fly out to Nepal to join the search and rescue efforts. As a result, his food truck businesses and all local bookings have been put on hold. As a self-employed business owner, facing this unthinkable nightmare also means facing an immediate loss of livelihood, alongside mounting emergency travel, logistical, and rescue costs. As heard on BBC Radio Sussex, Pedro is a vital part of our local community. Now it is our turn to step up for him.We are raising funds to help cover Pedro's:Emergency travel and search logistics in NepalOngoing family support costs during the rescue effortsImmediate living and business overhead expenses while the truck is off the roadEvery single donation, no matter how small, will directly relieve the financial pressure on Pedro so he can focus entirely on finding his family and bringing them home.Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your shared strength. Please share this page widely.
