Hi!

My name is Elizabeth Rodgers, or as my students call me, Ms. Rodgers. I am a 7th-year physical education teacher in Sacramento, CA at a Title 1 (low income) school.

This year, we have added a new class to our campus that is exclusively autism-specific. I have a few other special education classes as well, including two SDC classes ranging from 1st to 5th grade.

As a public school educator, I receive limited funds from the district every year. It’s enough to cover some new items and replacements for worn-out or broken PE equipment.

My goal for fundraising money is to be able to purchase some new items that would serve not only my Gen Ed students, but also my new autism-specific students who crave a sensory experience in everything they do. I’ve created an amazing wishlist and compiled some awesome equipment that I know these kids will thrive on.
