It is my honor to once again ask for financial support for the upcoming Spring Weather Work Ceremonies in Tepoztlán, Mexico.

On April 28th, I will be going to Tepoztlán to further my commitment as a Nahua granicero or "weather worker" as I engage in my first enflowering - a cyclical spring ceremony that will renew and deepen my relationship with the tradition. This ceremony will also mark my first year as a granicero.

Throughout this past year, I’ve taken many leaps in search of a home and community to serve as a granicero. As I’ve moved from the Hudson Valley of New York to near Asheville, North Carolina, and now up to midcoast Maine, this tradition has been a golden thread that has helped me to feel steady and purposeful as I followed its lead into many different lands and communities.

Very soon, I’ll be taking another leap as I look for a home near Burlington, Vermont. Burlington is a small city nested within a region that has experienced devastating floods on the same day, July 10th, three years in a row. It is clear to me that there is an opportunity for repair between the people of those lands and the great beings we call weather. With your support in my enflowering, I hope to facilitate the mending of those relationships, and fruitfully serve as an intermediary between people and the weather beings in this region of Vermont.

Your contributions will go toward the cost of the 11 days of ceremonies which includes the cost of required ceremonial offerings and items, food and lodging, and transportation.

Asking for help in this way is showing me the simple truth that a path of service is walked with the support of many.
