My name is Chloe Burleson, and I’m asking for your help for a dear friend and neighbor, Patrick Hyams. Patrick has lived in the Asheville area his entire life, making his home on the land his father left him. After his father’s passing, Patrick worked hard to build a life on that land, purchasing a mobile home and working two jobs to support himself. He’s a dedicated employee at Ingles in Oteen, where he’s been a familiar face in the community for years. On the side, he ran a small landscaping business, which he built from the ground up with his own two hands.

But Hurricane Helene took everything away.

In one devastating storm, Patrick lost his home, his cars, and the tools and equipment he used to sustain his landscaping business. Now, with limited hours at work and no way to continue his side business, Patrick is left struggling to rebuild his life from the ground up.

Patrick is one of the hardest-working, most selfless people I know. Despite all that’s been taken from him, he’s determined to stay positive, but he needs a helping hand to get back on his feet. We’re hoping to raise funds to help him with:

Basic necessities like food, clothing, and shelter

Replacing his vehicle, which is essential for both his day job and his landscaping business

Tools and equipment to restart his landscaping work

Costs associated with rebuilding his home

Every dollar, every share, every bit of kindness will make a huge difference in helping Patrick regain stability and rebuild the life he’s worked so hard for. Thank you for taking the time to read his story and for any support you can offer.

Let’s help Patrick get back on his feet!
