ON WITH THE SHOW!! Greetings friends, family, and supporters! We hope that everyone is safe and happy and healthy during this weird time in the world. We are happy to report that everyone involved with our company is so far healthy and safe. My Grandpa used to say "The only constant in life is change" and as I get older, I find that to be true. Change can be scary, but also liberating and fortuitous. Such as it is for us right now! As you may or may not know, our little theatre home on Hoffman was sold in October and we were asked to vacate so apartments can be built in our former theatre space. Although we are sad, we were absolutely lucky enough to find a bigger and better space where we can expand into our long time dream of having a dinner theatre right here in Monterey County! We will now be located in beautiful Cannery Row, in the historic Monterey Canning Co building...the most iconic part of historic Cannery Row. We are located above Starbucks at the corner of Prescott and Cannery Row...literally 2 minutes from our old location. Of course, all of this happened before the COVID 19 shelter in place scenario, which stopped our plans (and income from our 2020 season shows) temporarily. Now we are back to preparing our new space but the world is different. We will have to get super creative, more creative than we ever have been before. But no matter what, we will be here to continue to bring you excellent theatre, now serving delicious meals as well. The projects in front of us include: 1) Building an ADA restroom in our new theatre to accommodate ALL of our guests. A lift for the building is also being created so everyone will get to enjoy our shows. 2) Revamping and updating the dated kitchen so we can bring you fresh California coastal cuisine. Recipes will reflect the delicacies of our very special area here on the Central Coast. 3) Updating and refinishing the vintage bar, an 18 foot long, all wood treasure dating back to Steinbecks Cannery Row days. Wine, beer, soft drinks and espresso will flow freely! There is even a huge, beautiful mural painted by Shag O'Roarke who was friends with Doc Ricketts and John Steinbeck! 4) Beautiful signage all over, with a wonderful giant marquee sign on the top corner of the building! Of course, these projects are in addition to the normal cost of running and opening a theatre...but it is with these lofty projects we need help from you! Your donation means everything. EVERY DONATION OF $100 OR MORE will receive 2 FREE dinner and a show tickets to our first show in the glorious new space, our annual production of "The Rocky Horror Show"! You will be seated in our VIP section, treated to a 3 course gourmet meal, including dessert, and then you will enjoy the show. Afterward, you will enjoy a private meet and greet with the cast.
