My name is Jerry Cusack. I'm a 68-year-old who lives in Reedsburg, WI. I am a husband, father of 3, and a PaPa to 4.

I have been unable to go back to work due to a work injury 11 years ago. 25 years ago, I opened up a small engine repair business out of my garage to make ends meet.

5 months ago, during a routine test, it was discovered I had colorectal and prostate cancer. In the middle of getting radiation, I also had an aneurysm that was ready to rupture and had to have emergency surgery where I had 1 stent put in.

Since my treatments started, I have had to close my repair shop.

Although I have medical insurance, co-pays and deductibles are wiping us out financially. I'm halfway through treatments, and my medical bills are staggering at $500,000. Insurance covers the largest portion of costs, but there are still large co-pays and deductibles that need to be met.

I have recently started chemo, and so far, the outlook looks positive.

In the meantime, my bills are stacking up fast. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
