Papa Blue is my husband and the heart of our family. Since May, he’s been in and out of the hospital, facing the challenges of liver failure. Just last week, he was placed on the transplant list, and last night we received the call that a donor was found. This morning, Papa Blue is receiving his transplant at Emory Hospital in Atlanta. The journey has been overwhelming, with mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and the emotional stress of being away from home. Our grandchildren adore their papa, and the thought of him being away for six weeks during recovery is hard on all of us.

Papa Blue’s recovery will require frequent trips to Atlanta for follow-up appointments, and the costs for food, lodging, and medications are adding up quickly. We’re asking for help to cover these urgent expenses so we can focus on supporting him through this critical time. Papa Blue is the center of our family. He loves cheering on his grandchildren at football and baseball games, spending time fishing, and supporting his little cheerleader. He’s proud of his grandson who just graduated high school and is excited for two great-grandbabies arriving soon. He enjoys horses, family gatherings, and every moment with his loving wife, his daughter Ashley and her husband Wes, and his son Bennie and his wife Ruby.
