Our beloved<strong> Paloma Gonzalez Garcia (Rowell)</strong>—a radiant mother, devoted wife, and cherished friend—has been hospitalized in Mexico after a sudden and severe case of <strong>Hepatitis</strong>. What began as a summer visit to spend time with family in Mazatlán quickly escalated into a medical emergency that now threatens her life.

<div>Paloma’s illness progressed into<strong> acute liver failure and encephalitis</strong>, a rare and life-threatening combination. Her liver is no longer functioning properly, and inflammation in her brain has impaired her clarity and cognitive response. She spent several days in intensive care in Mazatlán, and it became clear that local care would not be enough to save her life.

<div><strong>Doctors advised that she be urgently transferred by medical air ambulance to Mexico City</strong>, where she could be treated by leading specialists in liver and neurological care—<strong>a transfer we made happen on Wednesday, July 23</strong>. Thanks to the speed and expertise of the medical team and the support of close friends, Paloma is now under the care of a world-class hepatology team at a top hospital in Mexico City.

<div>She has a <strong>very high probability of requiring a liver transplant to save her life</strong>, along with intensive therapies and 24/7 medical supervision to support a full recovery. Every moment counts.

Pasó varios días en terapia intensiva en Mazatlán hasta que los médicos recomendaron con urgencia un traslado especializado.

<div><strong>Existe una alta probabilidad de que Paloma necesite un trasplante de hígado para salvar su vida</strong>, además de terapias intensivas y vigilancia médica las 24 horas para lograr una recuperación completa. Cada día es crucial.
