Books & Supplies = $2,276
Living expenses = $18,500 (for out of state students)
Average total = $109,554 per year
Info about me:
I am proud to have been a first-generation college student and be the first-ever in my family to pursue medicine. What prompted me to consider medicine as a lifelong career was my own experiences on the other side of our healthcare system and discovering that it does not cater to everyone - especially racially, culturally, ethnically, and linguistically diverse patients. My experiences in healthcare illuminated the fact that there is just not enough of us to serve these communities, one being my Hmong community. As a physician, I hope to care for the many underserved patients who often face health care disparities and disadvantages. I am committed to being an advocate for my patients and will continue striving towards health equity for all.
