Paige's Cancer Treatment

Paige is a wonderful mother of 5 children. Ages 3 months to 8 years old. She is a very caring and giving person who loves others as her family. Recently a mass was found and removed from her arm. It took many labs months to find out what the mass was. The lab results finally came back as a cancer called Clear Cell Sarcoma. It is a very rare form of cancer that is found under the skin in soft tissues and tendons. The treatment is quite extensive especially if the cancer has spread. It includes removing a large area of tissue around the original location of the mass and many scans and tests to locate any other areas with the cancer. It is then treated using radiation and chemotherapy. The biggest problem with this particular form of cancer is getting rid of it completely. Long-term follow-up is necessary because of late local recurrences up to 29 years. Our sweet Paige  is beginning tests to find out the extent of the invasion of the Clear Cell Sarcoma  in her body.
