<div>Deja, likus vos keliems šimtams jūrmylių iki Australijos krantų, jis susidūrė su atogrąžų ciklonu Alfredu, kuris vienu metu tapo ketvirtos kategorijos taifūnu. Nepaisant milžiniškų pastangų plaukti pirmyn, Aurimui <strong>teko aktyvuoti pagalbos signalą ir kviesti gelbėtojus.</strong>

<div>Po kelių bemiegių naktų, per kurias teko semti į valtį besisunkiantį vandenį, <strong>Aurimą sėkmingai išgelbėjo į pagalbą atskubėjęs Australijos karinis laivas.</strong>

<div>Tačiau Aurimui <strong>teko palikti savo mylimą ir labai brangią valtį „KURŠIS“ </strong>atviroje Koralų jūroje. Nors šiuo metu vyksta valties paieška, vilties ją rasti yra labai mažai.

<div>Praradęs valtį ir joje buvusius brangius daiktus (filmavimo įrangą, kompiuterius, generatorius ir kt.), keliautojas <strong>patirs didelius finansinius nuostolius,</strong> nes didžiąją dalį kelionės biudžeto sudarė jo <strong>nuosavos lėšos.</strong>

<div><strong>Net jei pavyks surasti valtį, aišku viena</strong> – ji bus smarkiai apniokota dėl jūroje siautėjusio ciklono ir patirtų 30 pilnų apsivertimų, todėl jos atstatymas pareikalaus didelių finansinių išteklių.

<div><strong>Lithuanian Aurimas Mockus aimed to cross the Pacific Ocean by rowing boat</strong> – from San Diego (USA) to Brisbane (Australia). This was not just an attempt to set a Guinness World Record – he wanted to inspire all of us to pursue our dreams.

<div>Unfortunately, just a few hundred nautical miles from the Australian coast, he encountered tropical cyclone Alfred, which became a Category 4 typhoon at one point. Despite his immense efforts to keep moving forward, Aurimas <strong>had to activate a distress signal and call for rescue.</strong>
</div>

</div>
<div>After several sleepless nights, during which he had to bail water from the boat, the Australian naval vessel that rushed to his aid <strong>successfully rescued Aurimas.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, Aurimas <strong>had to leave his beloved and valuable boat, "KURŠIS"</strong> in the Coral Sea. Although the search for the boat is still ongoing, the hope of finding it is very slim.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The loss of the boat and the expensive items it contained (filming equipment, computers, generators, etc.) <strong>will result in a significant financial loss </strong>for the traveler, as the bulk of the trip budget came from the <strong>traveler's own money.</strong>
</div>

<div>Even if the boat is found, one thing is sure – it will be severely damaged due to the cyclone that ravaged the sea and the 30 full capsizes it experienced, <strong>so restoring it will require substantial financial resources.</strong>
</div>
