Following Saint Thomas Aquinas’s winter break, students are presented with a variety of programs from which they can choose from as a “winter-term” activity. While some students accept the pre decided courses, others peruse an area of interest personally and develop an independent study course. This year - Aiden, Oliver, and Dominic - came together and started a program to develop and construct a trebuchet to take the physics and robotics skills we got from our beloved extracurriculars and apply them in the real world. Over the past couple of weeks, we have been working hard to design an efficient and accurate system of launching certain objects, and in order to carry this dream out, we require a certain amount of funding. We hope to raise 500$ to cover this whole project, and all the remaining funds will be donated to a nonprofit organization. We thank you all for your support in our educational pursuit and look forward to the day we can share our results!
