We’re Godwin and Doreen Ofori-Djan, founders of African Goods Market, and proud parents of three beautiful daughters. We’re originally from Ghana, West Africa, and in July 2019, we made the bold move to the United States with a dream in our hearts: to build a family-owned business that celebrates our culture, serves our community, and creates opportunities for others.

African Goods Market is more than just a business. It’s our way of sharing the richness of African heritage through authentic products, wellness traditions, and joyful storytelling. Every item we sell carries a piece of home, a piece of history, and a whole lot of love.

We’ve already launched our online store, www.africangoodsmarket.shop, and it’s fully operational, delivering orders to customers all across the United States. The response has been incredible, and it’s clear that people are hungry for the authenticity, care, and cultural pride we bring to every package.

But now, we need your help to take the next big step.

Why We’re Raising $10,000

We’re raising funds to purchase a used cargo van that will allow us to:

Grow our small business sustainably while creating jobs and opportunities for others

Set up outdoor vending on weekends, bringing African Goods directly to local markets, festivals, and neighborhoods

Deliver orders to customers quickly and professionally

We currently do not have a physical store; we operate solely online. Acquiring a cargo van would greatly enhance our ability to serve more customers, expand our reach, and deliver the excellence our community deserves.

Our Story

Back in Ghana, we were entrepreneurs, building businesses, creating jobs, and pouring our hearts into everything we did. When we came to the U.S., we didn’t leave that spirit behind. We brought it with us. African Goods Market is our way of continuing that journey, right here in New Jersey.

We believe in hard work, faith, and the power of community. We believe that culture is meant to be shared, and that business can be a force for good. We’re not just building a brand; we’re building a legacy of pride, connection, and opportunity.
