When we first arrived in LA ten years ago the thought was nearly unimaginable— and the task, like anything worth having, would be an incredible amount of work— but three years ago we were blessed to achieve that dream when we purchased our home in Altadena, CA.

<div>We are incredibly lucky to say that while so many homes and businesses in our community burned, our house still stands. As Arlo, Russell, and I begin the process of returning, however, it is becoming clear that while our home was spared our lives were not. We currently face the challenge and uncertainty of being displaced from our home, our neighborhood, our routines, and our lives.
