Resource Center and Soup Kitchen Initiative

We are a 501c3 nonprofit that has a goal of getting a resource center/ community kitchen/ shelter for our citizens in need. Right now the city of Cairo has 52 citizens without homes that we know and more that we haven’t had a chance to meet. This could be you or I if something was to go wrong in our lives like a job loss, loved one death, unforeseen injury and life just happened. I’m asking for all that read this story donate at least $5 towards helping us purchase a building to house our resource center. This is a review of things we did with donations from citizens like you; In 2024 we were blessed to serve 17,536 plates of hot food. We took blessing boxes full of groceries in 175 homes of families in need. We handed out over 220 hygiene packs and over 200 toiletry packs. We handed out 20 tents, 20 sleeping bags and over 200 blankets to our citizens in need. We helped 5 homeless citizens obtain their identification, birth certificate and social security card to start them on their way back on their feet. We helped 3 families out of domestic violence. We blessed 300 kids with knapsacks full of school supplies for back to school. For Christmas we were able to bless 57 kids with bikes and 529 kids with toys. Now we are asking for your help because at any moment things could change in our lives and this could be us seeking help, food, resources or shelter. Will you look into your heart and help us make this community resource center, soup kitchen and shelter become a reality?
