<div>In June, he experienced a sudden and extreme medical emergency when his right leg swelled dramatically overnight. After urgent evaluations, he was diagnosed with Charcot neuropathy, a rare and serious diabetes-related condition that causes the bones in the foot to weaken and collapse.

<div>He was forced to wait eight weeks for a surgical evaluation due to swelling, and when he finally saw the surgeon, he was told his foot was already collapsing and needed immediate surgery.

<div>He is now in a minimum six-month recovery period where he is not allowed to put any weight at all on his right foot.
</div>

</div>
<div>He is essentially bedbound. He receives just one nurse visit and no other in-home support!

<div>A New Challenge: Housing Displacement

<div>Just two days ago, he received unexpected news:

<div>His landlord is gifting the property he has lived in for 13 years, which means he must move out by April.

<div>Moving while bedbound and unable to stand — during a long medical recovery — adds another significant financial and emotional burden at the worst possible time.
