Hi, I'm Sharon and I am making this appeal on behalf of my husband and I. Due to health challenges, we are in the process of relocating after 30 years in Florida back to the Lonestar state of Texas.

Willie served 14 years in the US Navy, a 73-year-old retired AME pastor, a life member of the American Legion who has served as the first black Post Commander to Post 267 in Ormond Beach, Florida and recently to Post 187 in Deland, Florida, District Commander, District Chaplain, and District Adjutant. He was selected and attended the American Legion College.

He was diagnosed with glaucoma a number of years ago. For many years the eyedrops have worked but now is becoming less effective. Instead of one eyedrop now there are two each night. The glaucoma is becoming increasing worse.

He will no longer be able to make the 14-hour drive to and from Texas any longer. Secondly, we have 3 grandsons (16, 15 and 4) who are growing up fast. He has already missed much of their growing up years with the exception of the youngest, Bryson.

This move has become more expensive than we budgeted for. Instead of one 16' POD, we have discovered that we now will require two 16' PODs, a hitch to tow one of two vehicles, gas for the 957.2 miles from Daytona Beach, FL to Houston, TX. This relocation is costing more than we have. Willie receives Social Security Disability and VA disability benefits. I (Sharon) receive Social Security benefits. We are prayerful that this plea for assistance will allow us to cover our unexpected expenses, We

can afford the monthly rent but is finding it challenging to cover the deposit of $2200. WE NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE!!!
