<div>Αυτός είναι ο προορισμός μας σε αυτή την εθελοντική καμπάνια, σε ένα ταξίδι "από το Εγώ στο Εμείς", όπως το χαρακτηρίζει ο διοργανωτής οργανισμός <a href="https://www.wheeling2help.com/myquest-trips" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wheeling2help</a>.

<div>Eίμαστε μια μεγάλη ομάδα εθελοντών, σε αυτή την αποστολή του <a href="https://www.wheeling2help.com/myquest-uganda" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wheeling2help</a> στην Ουγκάντα όπου μαζί με πολλούς άλλους όμορφους ανθρώπους εργαστήκαμε αυτή τη χρονιά για τη δημιουργία και λειτουργία μιας κουζίνας στο χώρο του σχολείου με στόχο τη σίτιση των παιδιών!

<div>Στο μαργαριτάρι της Αφρικής, την Ουγκάντα, στην λίμνη Μπουνιόνι, οι αποστολές του <a href="https://www.wheeling2help.com/myquest-trips" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wheeling2Help</a> έχουν ως στόχο να φέρουν τη θετική αλλαγή και ένα σύνολο συναισθημάτων και ελπίδας. Το περασμένο καλοκαίρι, δύο ομάδες MyQuest εργάστηκαν με όλο τους το είναι για την κατασκευή μιας πολύ αναγκαίας κουζίνας στο Δημοτικό Σχολείο Μπουφούκα. Οι ακούραστες προσπάθειές τους, σε συνδυασμό με τις προσπάθειες των φθινοπωρινών ομάδων MyQuest, έγιναν η αλυσίδα που εξασφάλισε την πιλοτική λειτουργία της κουζίνας αυτό το χειμώνα, χρηματοδοτώντας μεταξύ άλλων την κατασκευή του κτιρίου αλλά και την απόκτηση του απαραίτητου εξοπλισμού για τη λειτουργία της κουζίνας.

<div>Τώρα, με ένα στόχο καμπάνιας €7000, ξεκινούμε ένα κοινό ταξίδι συναισθηματικής αλληλεγγύης για να συνεχίσουμε αυτή την αλυσίδα αγάπης και ελπίδας. Στόχος είναι να καλυφθεί το κόστος για την αγορά των απαραίτητων προμηθειών και το μισθό μιας μαγείρισσας για τη νέα σχολική χρονιά το 2024, ώστε να προσφέρεται καθημερινά ενα δυναμωτικό πρωινό στα παιδιά (κρέμα πόριτζ) στα 200- 250 παιδιά του σχολείου.

<div>Η ιδέα είναι απλή αλλά βαθιά ουσιώδης - να προωθηθεί η σχολική παρακολούθηση παρέχοντας την απαραίτητη ενέργεια μέσω ενός γεύματος, ιδίως σε εκείνα τα παιδιά που οι οικογένειες τους δεν έχουν την οικονομική δυνατότητα να τους παρέχουν φαγητό για μέρες. Οι επιπτώσεις είναι ήδη ορατές! Κατά τη διάρκεια της πιλοτικής φάσης, έγιναν εγγραφές νέων μαθητών, μειώθηκαν οι απουσίες των υφιστάμενων μαθητών και οι δάσκαλοι παρατήρησαν μεγαλύτερη συγκέντρωση των παιδιών στο μάθημα!

<div>Η δέσμευση του <a href="https://www.wheeling2help.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wheeling2Help</a> επεκτείνεται πέρα από αυτή την κουζίνα, με έργα όπως η ανακαίνιση του σχολείου, η ανοικοδόμηση της εξέδρας κολύμβησης, η χορήγηση 35 υποτροφιών για το γυμνάσιο (20 το 2022 και 15 το 2023) και πολλές άλλες δράσεις διαμορφωμένες με αγάπη και με στόχο την προώθηση της εκπαίδευσης.

<div>We are a big group of volunteers in this <a href="https://www.wheeling2help.com/myquest-uganda" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wheeling2help</a> mission in Uganda where together with many other beautiful people we worked hard this year to create and operate a kitchen in the school premises with the aim of feeding the children!

<div>In the pearl of Africa, Uganda, at Lake Bunyonyi, <a href="https://www.wheeling2help.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wheeling2Help</a> missions aim to bring positive change and a mix of emotions and hope. Last summer, two Quest groups worked tirelessly to build a much-needed kitchen at Bufuka Primary School. Their efforts, along with those of autumn groups, ensured the pilot operation of the kitchen, funding its construction and acquiring the necessary equipment.

<div>Now, with a €7000 campaign goal, we embark on a collective journey of emotional solidarity to sustain this chain of love and hope. The aim is to cover the costs for purchasing the supplies but also the salary of a cook for the new school year in 2024, to provide a nutritious daily breakfast (porridge) for 200-250 school children.

<div>The idea is simple yet profound — to promote school attendance by providing essential energy through a meal, especially for children whose families can’t afford to feed them for days. The impact is already visible! During the pilot phase, new student enrollments increased, absenteeism of existing students decreased and teachers noted greater focus of the children in the class!

<div>The commitment of <a href="https://www.wheeling2help.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Wheeling2Help</a> extends beyond this kitchen, with projects like school renovation, rebuilding the swimming platform, granting 35 scholarships for the secondary school (20 in 2022 and 15 in 2023) and various initiatives shaped with love for promoting education.
