On March 22 I had my babies through an emergency C-section. They’ll more than likely be in the NICU until May 20th. We want to make it a goal to see them every day. As many people know it’s not cheap to travel. I’m hoping to raise some money for travel expenses and to cover the wear and tear on our vehicle.

I wouldn’t ask for help if I didn’t absolutely need it, and I need it now more than ever so that I may be able to be there for my daughters.

This experience is so foreign to me because when I do get to see them I feel whole again but when we leave I’m in shambles every time. In other words I’ve never felt so vulnerable. There’s so much joy and grief during this time. I sit there and look at all the cords and lines that is connecting to them. This technology allows my babies to breathe and eat and so much more. It amazes me that my body was able to do all of this at one point with just only one cord- the umbilical cord. On the other hand it grieves me that my body gave up on carrying them causing me to go into labor too soon.

I feel that the least I can do for them now is just being there for them as much as I can.
