REMEMBERING OUR GOOD FRIEND JOEL BENSON
Very sadly, our good friend and former OBIM colleague (2003 – 2016), Joel A. Benson, passed away from complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease, on Friday May 3rd.
Joel was known for his easy going, friendly smile and ways. Joel was passionate about all things involving motion and movement and was always the first on the block to have the coolest, new gadgets and scooters. Everyone loved being around Joel and working with him was a joy. He will be sorely missed by all of us.
Joel’s wife Beatriz and their 15 year old son Connor and Family plan on hosting a celebration of Joel’s life in their Falls Church home, with a tentative date of Friday May, 17th from 4-7 PM.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend and share their joyful stories of Joel. Confirmation and details will be provided very soon.
Let’s all pull together to help Beatriz and Connor during this very difficult time and do what we can to ease some of their immense sadness. Your donations will provide a glimpse of hope for a brighter future.
