GayBarchives has been documenting the history of gay bars from the past for nearly two years, largely as a self-funded project. Thousands of hours have been invested. More than 1500 gay bars gone by have been recorded. Nearly 50 video interviews have been conducted. Over 1000 logos have been digitally reconstructed.
