This is a friend of John, the owner of Market Street Cycles in San Francisco. I created this Go Fund Me to help support this epic bike shop and incredibly resilient human.

Hi all.

So for those who don't know, a car doing doughnuts in front of our shop crashed through the front of our building on July 15th, destroying the facade, windows, security gates, displays and several bikes. Being a historical landmark building there is no set timeline for it's repair as the process is arduous and the S.F. Building Permitting/Inspections Department is a labyrinthine, corrupt clown car.

To add injury to insult, the day I left town a little over a week ago on a family matter my right hand guy and only other full time employee went in for emergency surgery and has not returned and may not be able to, so I am flying solo for the foreseeable future.

This shop is the culmination of 27 years in the industry for me, and as much as a pain in the ass as it can be to run a small business in San Francisco, it's my baby and this is not how I want to go out.

I humbly and greatly appreciate any and all help anyone can offer, and I will continue to fight the good fight here as long as I can.

Keep rollin', this ain't over...
