Happy New Year! On NYE, God’s hands were protecting me as I was in a bad accident in Washington, DC. Out driving for work, a distracted driver sped and hit the front axel of my vehicle knocking it off completely. My Aunt and I are in the process of working with insurance agencies to learn the extent of the damage but, early indications are that the car is more than likely totaled.

This is unfortunate as both my aunt and myself use this car to provide a living for ourselves. Even with a rental, due to restrictions with our companies, we won’t be able to use the rental to continue earning a living for the foreseeable future. While we will eventually figure out how to pivot from this, we still need to take care of our obligations for the month of January. Our mortgage, my children’s tuition payment and other essentials will still need to be taken care of as we search for other means of income not requiring a vehicle.

As we both continue to raise the funds on our own, any help towards this goal would be greatly appreciated.
