Our Ukrainian colleagues need immediate assistance

Our company, Jaybird Group , has a dozen software developers who live in Ukraine. They are our colleagues and friends, and many have young families. The unprovoked Russian invasion is forcing them to flee their homes just to survive.

We're reaching out to friends, family, and clients to help assist them. Any amount you can spare will help – even as little as $10 or $20. Because what they are going through is almost unimaginable: just two weeks ago, we were having Zoom calls over coffee talking about app design for Fortune 500 clients – and now our co-workers are literally running for their lives.

Some have made it to relative safety in Poland, but conditions there are still difficult. Others have had to stay behind while sending their wives and children across the border. At least one team member had his house bombed. Another colleague, Andrew, had less than 30 minutes' notice to grab as many personal belongings as his wife and two children could carry before fleeing from advancing Russian tanks. You can hear more about Andrew in this news report from WFMJ TV in Pennsylvania – they knew about his story because he's part of the Jaybird team that developed the station's mobile app: Here

With over 2 million Ukrainian refugees and counting, international relief agencies are overwhelmed, and it takes time to get assistance where it's needed most. Our colleagues don't have time  – they need funds right now for food, clothing, and housing. As more civilian targets are being targeted, they also need money to help other family members escape. Many continue to work remotely during the war, but right now they have extraordinary needs. Every dollar collected here will go directly to helping rebuild their lives and reunite their families. If you've been looking for a meaningful way to help, we're grateful for any support you can provide.
