My name is Tony Liu, and I am a Junior at Lexington High School. I am currently working on my Eagle Scout project, a community service project that I need to design and lead to reach the rank of Eagle.

My project will be building a storage shed for the Lexington High School Track team.

The purpose of the shed is to store the throwing equipment (Hammers, Shotputs, Discuses, etc.) in a space close to the throwing field, and in a place where they can be easily accessed.

This accomplished two main things:

1) It frees up space in the main trailers close to the track, where the throwing equipment is currently stored. This allows the team to store other equipment like hurdles, which are currently stored outdoors during the spring track season, in the storage containers.

2) It means that the heavy throwing equipment is closer to the throwing field, and it saves the throwers from having to carry heavy equipment from the track to the throwing area. It also means that the equipment will have a space that is sheltered from the environment and a space where the equipment can be organized.

The shed will be a lean-to style shed, leaning against the side of the existing farmer’s market shed, and the dimensions will be 4ft-8ft-6.5ft.

The funds raised from this GoFundMe will be used to:

-Buy materials (wood, paint, nails, hinges, roofing, etc)

-Rent equipment (drills, hammers, saws, brushes, etc.)

-Buy food and water for the volunteers

-Rent transportation for the finished project from the construction site to the throwing field
