Dearest Friends:
We are so grateful for your inquiries about how to help our hourly employees. With over 18 years of running the Capital Cafe, we have 14 hourly employees in our Collective family. It took us some time to respond because we were trying to determine the most effective way to deliver that help to our employees. Here is our plan and we are ready when you are:
· We’ve created a GoFundMe for our employees in the café.
· We will convert those funds into cash cards and are currently researching electronic delivery to make the relief even faster
· Although we’ve set fundraising goals for the cafe, we are grateful for any support you can give on any schedule.
With this in place, our priority is to reopen our cafe and —as well as all our employees—to their jobs and to serve you daily.
