Hi everyone. This is extremely difficult for me to write and not something I thought I would ever have to do. A little back story: My husband was laid off from his job right after we found out we were pregnant. We had been trying for a baby for over 4 years. The excitement was elevated when we found out we were expecting and then quickly became extremely scary because there would be no income coming in. We thought, okay, everything will work out. We have plenty of time before the baby gets here for him to find another job. Fast forward, he has been on multiple interviews and has applied to hundreds of jobs with no luck. I was admitted into the hospital at 26 weeks due to preeclampsia and was told I would remain in the hospital until the baby came. I ended up having our son at 29 weeks. He was just 2 lbs 6 oz. We knew it would be a bumpy road ahead, but we were ready to tackle it head-on.

Each day was a blessing when we got to see our little boy in the NICU, where he spent 70 days. We were finally able to bring him home last week and as we should be celebrating and loving settling into our now new family of three, unfortunately, the weight of all of the hospital bills has crushed that magical time. The bills just keep coming and we are drowning. Our son is too compromised to go to daycare, so I have to stay home with him while my husband applies for jobs and goes on interviews. We are asking for any help we can get to get us through this difficult time. Asking for help isn't our strong suit, but we are in deep and have no other choice.
