Please help me raise funds to study Global Leadership

My name is Oskar Edwardes, a 14 year old from Bayside, Melbourne.

I aspire to be an agent for systemic change in education.

I have been accepted to study Global Leadership at Oxford University. This two-week course aims to inspire the next generation of global leaders and policy-makers, studying a blend of politics, economics, and international relations. This course will open many doors, and connections, for my future endeavours in leadership and politics.

I am actively engaged in youth advocacy and education policy through the Victorian Student Representative Council (VicSRC). This is the peak body for student voice and advocacy in Victoria, which works at the highest level of decision-making and policy.

Throughout my academic journey, I have been fortunate to receive recognition for my commitment to leadership and academic excellence.

My proudest achievements include:
• Executive Committee Member - VicSRC
• Being on ABC’s Q+A - https://youtu.be/4oCyWKxLW5o
• Victoria Award - given to members of the Sandringham District Community who have contributed positively to the health, wellbeing, and liveability of the local area.
• Ampol Best All Rounder - Beaumaris Secondary College
• Victorian High Abilities Program (VHAP) - English
• Emerging Sciences Victoria (ESV) - Neuroscience and Medical Physics

I have experienced a lot in my life. While my mother was pregnant with me, she was diagnosed with cancer. This led to my premature birth so she could begin treatment. Sadly, she passed away when I was one and my sister was four leaving our father to raise us as a single parent. He is in end-stage renal failure and remains on nocturnal home dialysis 5-6 sessions a week to stay alive.

Despite these challenges, I have become resilient and determined to make a positive impact in the world. My experiences have taught me empathy, perseverance, and the importance of advocating for others. These life lessons have shaped my passion for leadership and drive to create meaningful change in education.

I would greatly appreciate any financial contribution you could make to help me become an agent for change.
