After an incredibly hectic year, Oni gets to start 2025 off right by getting their top surgery! Shortly after we moved in 2024 Oni became disabled and was diagnosed with multi level degenerative disc disease in their lumbar spine. Because he has been unable to work full time, I'm in school, and much of his wages go towards medical bills, we have been unable to save for their recovery period. With so much uncertain in the wake of the election results, delaying a surgery that will improve their quality of life mentally and physically feels like a risk.

With Oni preparing to enter grad school for their Masters in Social Work, we are asking our friends, families, and community for help to get Oni through their recovery period. Oni's goal of $2,000 will cover his living expenses and post-op care for the 6-8 weeks he will be recovering after his January 8th surgery date. Any funds that exceed his recovery needs will be applied toward the cost of surgery itself.
