It takes a village, our community based private fitness centre is nothing without its members, we are 4 walls or a roof, we are people. That's why we got into this business, to help people. To Create independent exercisers, with the skills and habits to live a healthy lifestyle outside of the gym. We are so proud to see how our members have continued to train and live a balanced and healthy life. Unfortunately we need these 4 walls to continue to serve the community. So we are coming to you to help us, help us to continue to change lives and support the community.
It's been over 30 days since we have been mandated to be closed to the public. Despite some federal programs, as of April 17th One Family Fitness does not qualify for CEBA or any other programs. We understand we are not the only business in this position. The landlords are still charging rent, we must pay utilities, insurance and taxes. In personal training is our main source of revenue for paying our operating expenses, we cannot continue to pay the lease with insufficient revenue. Our members have supported us tremendously as has the community. The majority of our members have kept their monthly/biweekly memberships going, however this only covers a very small fraction of the utilities. Without trainers and instructors coaching daily we fall very short on expenses. We are looking for additional support to cover rent payments for April, May and June. Any donation will help us keep our space available and the doors open when we are given the green light to do so. We have thrived these past 3 years thanks to all of you who have supported us, we just want to ensure we are here for you when we are allowed to reopen the gym.
