<div>About 6 months ago our beautiful and only daughter Olive began to develop fevers. This has been an ongoing thing about once or twice a month. A first we suspected periodic fever syndrome but a week ago she developed swollen lymph nodes and salivary glands and I had this horrible feeling in my gut that something wasn’t right. I took her to her doctor for blood work and she had low hemoglobin, platelets, white blood cells, and red blood cell counts. We were told to take her to the ER for more testing and a blood transfusion. Further testing confirmed our worst nightmare. Our 3 year old baby has B cell ALL acute lymphoblastic leukemia. We are now left to navigate an unthinkable situation. We were transferred to the children’s hospital in Omaha Nebraska which is two hours from our home. We now need to figure out housing, work logistics, and how to continue to care for our 6 other children. We currently were able to get a room at the rainbow house which is free. But unfortunately that will not work for a family our size long term. I know God will make a way and provide. We know his plan for our family is good and that he is walking beside us every step of the way. We are not sure of the full extent of what this will look like financially for us just yet. The treatment plan is a minimum of 2.5 years with chemotherapy so we may even need to move here to be close to the hospital for the many appointments that await us. Please continue to pray for her and for us.
