Support of Medical Expenses for Wyatt

On January 7th, 2020, my 8 year old nephew, Wyatt, was attacked by a dog causing severe injuries to his head. He was rushed to Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit where he underwent an initial surgery to re-attach the back of his scalp. A second surgery was performed on the 9th to repair nerve damage that he sustained to the right side of his face. Approx. 10 hours of surgery and hundreds of stitches.
As a result of the surgeries (and extent of his injuries), Wyatt cannot place any pressure to the right side of his face for approx. 8 weeks. The healing of these nerves are important as they will allow him to be able to have movement in the facial area surrounding his eyes. As time passes, they will know if any additional surgeries will be necessary.
Wyatt received great care while at the hospital, with his family by his side each day. Today (1/12/2020), he was discharged to go home (he was very excited, as we all were!!!); although, he has a very long road of recovery ahead of him. Doctors are strongly recommending no school and very limited physical activity for at least 8 weeks.
While his parents have been by his side the whole time, they have also missed work. His mother (Jessica) will need to take time off of work to be with her son while he is recovering at home. There will be multiple doctor visits each week and multiple expenses incurred.
At a time like this, no one should ever have to think about the financial aspect which is why I am kindly asking for your generosity and support. Please consider making a donation that will help cover ANY related expenses that will help ease the financial burden that has been placed on them unexpectedly.
