My name is Oaklynn Reed Barber. I am 8 months old, and very sick with RSV and pneumonia!

My parents and I went to the doctor on Saturday, February 8th with a very bad cold and found it was RSV. We got to hospital in Wahoo and found my oxygen levels were very low! They gave me oxygen and it didn’t help and they had to transport me to the children’s hospital in Omaha. They put me on oxygen and medication and I still wasn’t getting better over the weekend. That Monday, they had to take me to the ICU to raise even more oxygen. Unfortunately, they had to put me on a breathing tube and paralysis medication and sedate me to keep my heart rate and oxygen levels down where they needed to be. I haven’t gotten better but haven’t gotten worse. Now I have pneumonia, which was part of the RSV, in which I am fighting both sides and am sedated.

Mommy and daddy haven’t been able to work because they are both in the hospital worried sick about me! You’re donations will go towards any extra expenses my parents need while I stay here at the children’s hospital and recover! Thank you!
