Thank you for your support! Cynthia Banks, Hannah Weiss, and Morgan West have been busily and excitedly preparing for the launch of Oakland Birth & Wellness, a new space for pregnant and postpartum families to be cared for, opening soon!
Our vision is to bring together perinatal professionals offering compassionate health care and trusted support during the childbearing years. As three homebirth midwives, we envision this space as a safe place to be cared for and to nurture community around new and growing families.
In our space, we will be holding prenatal and postpartum circles and will invite in lactation support groups, and folks interested in hosting a variety of classes geared toward wellness and education in pregnancy and beyond. We will have two exam rooms for midwifery care and other perinatal health services.
This GoFundMe campaign is to support the costs of opening our doors at Oakland Birth & Wellness by October 15th. This includes funds for exam room tables and supplies necessary for providing prenatal care, furnishing our space so that it is a comfortable landing place for families, and making the space ready to host groups of all sizes with the necessary accommodations.
