The Norway Lake Association (NLA) Board is asking for donations to purchase a newer weed harvester. We need to raise $150,000 to purchase one we have found. The NLA has been looking for solutions and options to continue weed harvesting on Norway Lake near Pine River, MN. Last summer of 2024, the current weed harvester broke down due to age. The current harvester is from the 1980s, and finding parts is becoming extremely hard and expensive.
NLA has located a good used weed harvester that we can purchase for $150,000, and we would take possession of it for the summer of 2026. The NLA Board of seven members started the donations and have raised over $10,000 from the board. If we wanted to purchase this same weed harvester new, it would cost between $300,000 and $350,000.
If you own property on Norway Lake or Norway Brook, your donation will only increase the value of your property by continuing to improve the lake and brook areas. If you are from the area and have enjoyed Norway Lake and Norway Brook, we would highly appreciate any donation amount. If you are a business owner in the area who benefits from the cabin owners in the area, we would appreciate any donation.
There are more details located on the NLA Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/3165483763672208, or the NLA website, https://norwaylakeassociation.com.
Thank you for helping us improve Norway Lake and Norway Brook. We cannot do this without you! Please share with family and friends.
