NorthWord Magazine has been a voice for the literary arts in Northern Alberta for over a decade - and we want to continue to share the words and art of authors from all walks of life, of all ages and from all cultures!

We run the publication under the Northern Collective Society of Writers, a registered non-profit, in Wood Buffalo, Alberta and our magazine is available free of charge throughout our community and online. Our volunteer work encourages anyone to submit their art to be published in our magazine - we have no restrictions on age, education, location, or entry fee. The selection process is done through an anonymized process by a volunteer Guest Editor.

Over the past few years, publishing costs have continuously increased, and we look to our wonderful community for support. Give the gift of literary arts this season and help us continue to offer our magazine free of charge!
