Support Noreen's Fight Against Locked-in Syndrome

If you have the privilege of knowing my Mom, you know that she is thoughtful, nurturing, and caring to everyone around her. My mom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2000. She has lived as independently as possible, supporting her two daughters and husband. This disease limited her walking, but never stopped her from being an amazing mom. She was at every school event, sports game, and activity for both of her daughters. She loves cooking and spending time with her family. She raised her girls emphasizing the importance of helping others however you can. The Harmon Family is hoping for your help in supporting her future in any way possible.
On May 31st around 5pm, Noreen had a brainstem stroke. She was admitted to Good Samaritan and was transferred to BMC later that night. Unfortunately, on June 6, 2024, around 6 am, she declined and went into respiratory distress that required emergency intubation. We were then informed that she has been diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder called Locked-in Syndrome.
At this time Mom can only communicate by moving her eyes up/down or blinking. She has also lost the ability to move her arms and limbs. Mom has regained some mobility in her face, jaw, neck, right arm, right leg and very subtle left arm. Mom no longer has the ability to swallow or speak. She will need 24/7 care as well as Physical therapy/ Occupational therapy.
We are doing the best we can but are asking for help with the medical bills we have incurred, and future care she is going to require. If you can donate anything, it would help us exponentially.
Thank you,
The Harmon Family
