<div>Nina is Inuvialuk/Dene, originally from Fort Smith, Northwest Territories. She is a mother of 3, an extraordinarily talented throat singer, an activist and has been a loved member of the urban Indigenous Montreal community for many years.

<div>A survivor of the 60’s scoop, Nina is an advocate for all Indigenous voices and we at the Native Women’s Shelter want to highlight her strength and accomplishments by amplifying her cause and facilitating this support.

<div>Nina is battling with breast cancer and began treatment in January 2021. While Nina undergoes a grueling radiation treatment, these funds will help ease the financial burden of travel, as she must travel 4 times a week, every week, for this lifesaving therapy. Funds will also help support Nina and her family as she takes the necessary time to heal, especially during the holidays. We must come together to support this invaluable member of our community during this difficult and troubling time. Help us to uplift her spirits and ease this burden with your support.

<div>Please share widely!<br /><br /><strong>Aidez-nous à soutenir Nina Segalowitz dans sa lutte contre le cancer du sein.</strong><br /><br />Le foyer pour femmes autochtones organise cette collecte de fonds virtuelle afin de demander <strong>d'URGENCE</strong> un soutien pour une leader autochtone de longue date dans notre communauté, Nina Segalowitz.<br /><br />Nina est Inuvialuk/Dene, originaire de Fort Smith, dans les Territoires du Nord-Ouest. Elle est une mère de trois enfants, une chanteuse de gorge extraordinairement talentueuse, une activiste et un membre apprécié de la communauté autochtone urbaine de Montréal depuis de nombreuses années.<br /><br />Survivante du scoop des années 60, Nina est une défenseure de toutes les voix autochtones et nous, au Foyer pour femmes autochtones, voulons souligner sa force et ses réalisations en amplifiant sa cause et en facilitant ce soutien.<br /><br />Nina se bat contre un cancer du sein et a commencé son traitement en janvier 2021. Alors que Nina subit une radiothérapie épuisante, ces fonds permettront d'alléger le fardeau financier des déplacements, car elle doit se déplacer 4 fois par semaine, chaque semaine, pour cette thérapie qui lui sauve la vie. Les fonds permettront également de soutenir Nina et sa famille pendant qu'elle prend le temps nécessaire à sa guérison, notamment pendant les vacances. Nous devons nous unir pour soutenir ce membre inestimable de notre communauté pendant cette période difficile et troublante.
