Help Support Nigel Smith’s Recovery Journey
Life can change in an instant. Our beloved Nigel Smith recently suffered a stroke (Benign Oligemia) and is currently receiving care at Doctor’s Hospital in Nassau, Bahamas, under the supervision of some of the best doctors. While we remain hopeful, his hospital stay and recovery have lasted longer than expected, and the medical expenses have quickly become overwhelming.
Nigel is a man who has poured so much into others. He's a devoted husband, father, grandfather, mentor, and community leader. Through his love for basketball, he has guided countless young men in the church and community, always leading with compassion and faith. His decades of service in telecommunications helped shape the very systems we rely on across the Bahamas today.
Recently, Nigel underwent an unexpected brain surgery to reduce swelling, which has extended his recovery time. Though he was successfully taken off the ventilator (praise God!), he will soon begin intensive inpatient rehabilitation to help restore mobility, speech, and other effects of the stroke.
We’re reaching out to you...our family, friends, and community for both prayer intercession and financial support as we navigate this difficult journey.
Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward his medical care and rehabilitation.
Thank you for your love, prayers, and generosity as we believe God will bring Nigel through this season stronger than before.
With gratitude,
The Smith Family
