<div>18 years ago, shortly after finishing university, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Almost exactly a year ago, I underwent major surgery to remove part of my small intestine.

<div>Today, I’m proud to say I’m feeling fit, healthy… and hopefully ready to take on 70 miles!

<div>This journey is the reason Crohn’s &amp; Colitis UK means so much to me. I’m taking on this challenge to raise both money and awareness for a charity that supports so many people facing similar battles.

<div>More information about Crohn's &amp; Colitis UK: Crohns Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, affecting more than 500,000 people in the UK. Yet it is largely a hidden disease, and one that causes stigma, fear and isolation, its thought that many people with the condition go undiagnosed and suffer in silence.
