Hello!!

My name is Ryleigh Pennington. I am a 21-year-old nursing student from Altus, OK. I am currently competing for the title of Miss Altus 2025. My Community Service Initiative is “Project NICU”. I have family and friends that have had NICU babies and have seen firsthand the struggles and stress families have from the expense of the care of these babies.

I have created this GoFundMe to help raise money for NICU families. Families that have babies in the NICU have SO much on their plate that financial standings should not be one of them. One in nine babies in the state of Oklahoma are born into the NICU and have extended stays. Did you know one day in the NICU can cost anywhere from $3,000 to $20,000?! These families also have to pay for parking passes, food, hotel rooms, gas, etc.

With this GoFundMe, all of the money I raise will be donated straight to NICU families at OU Children’s Hospital and Comanche County Memorial Hospital.
