We don’t even really know where to start with this, because it still doesn’t feel real.

Since February 15, 2026, Nick has been in the hospital, and life has just been turned upside down for him and his family. What started as trying to figure out what was wrong has turned into weeks of tests, pain, and uncertainty. He’s now been transferred from Perth to Kingston General Hospital, where he’s still fighting every day to get answers and some relief. Everyday is a struggle.

In this time, Nick has lost over 70 pounds. He’s in constant, excruciating pain, and now they’ve found cancer in his biliary tract. They’re still doing more testing to see if it’s anywhere else.

Nick is a dad first. To 15 year old Mahalia, 12 year old Trenton, and his 5 year old stepdaughter Rayla. Those kids are his world. He’s also a truly incredible partner to Angela, and anyone who knows him knows how hard he works and how much he shows up for the people he loves. He’s the kind of guy who doesn’t complain, who just keeps going, who takes care of everyone else. He’s the sweetest and is so loving to his family.

And now he can’t take care of them like he loves and needs to.

Right now he’s trying to get through each day while also worrying about his family, how to provide, and everything that comes with that. With only about half an income coming in through EI, the financial stress on top of everything else is heartbreaking.

This is Gofund Me is to help alleviate some of the burden as they battle through this and already are starting to struggle with the effects.
