Hi, I’m Philip Polchinski, raising funds for my son Nicholas Polchinski’s Eagle Scout service project at Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Union, NJ.
Watch Nicholas explain the full project:
Quick 30-second pitch + full playlist here:
In the videos, Nicholas shows how he will install ~270 paver stones to create respectful guiding pathways (totaling ~800 feet) and build a digital + PDF map with QR code. This will help visitors easily find important historic graves — including Revolutionary War graves and the mass grave of British and Hessian soldiers — in time for Union County’s 4 Centuries Weekend and America’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
Materials cost $1,700. We set the goal at $2,000 to cover GoFundMe fees and give a small buffer. Nicholas is personally covering part of the cost with his job earnings.
100% of every dollar raised (after fees) goes directly to Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church — not to our family. The church and his Boy Scout council have already approved the project.
Every donation helps preserve this historic landmark for families, historians, and our entire community. Thank you for supporting an Eagle Scout who is leading with heart!
