<div>My older brother Nevin was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma at 28 years old. Hodgkins Lymphoma is an aggressive blood cancer that spreads throughout the lymphatic system.

<div>Six months leading up to his cancer diagnosis, Nevin experienced multiple symptoms that doctors treated as eczema, asthma, and stress. It wasn’t until the lymph nodes on his neck and under arm that had swelled to the size of golf balls that doctors finally started conducting tests for cancer. Nevin had also experienced acute renal kidney failure that resulted in him being in the hospital for a week while doctors tried to figure out the reasoning behind it.

<div>While we are thankful that the cancer was caught, it has been an emotional rollercoaster for him and our family. Nevin is a fighter and has taken on this battle with immense strength. He’s a phenomenal brother, son, boyfriend, and friend who has stayed a positive person even throughout all of this. If you know him, you know that he leaves a lasting mark on anyone who meets him.

<div>Because of his diagnosis, Nevin had to abruptly leave his life, home, and multiple jobs in Los Angeles after 5 years to move in with family as he completes his chemotherapy treatments. However, with his medical expenses and debt continuing to pile up and depending on the outcome of treatment, he could very well be unable to return to work for at least another year, possibly longer.

<div>We are supporting him as a family and doing the best we can with what we have to offer. It is a challenging time for us all, but we’re grateful for any contribution toward helping us and Nevin get through this difficult journey. It would make a great difference to us and especially Nevin.
