<div>We are Bancroft, a South Minneapolis neighborhood that is home to a tight-knit community of people of all ages and from all walks of life. Over the past few months, ICE has ripped many of our neighbors out of our community, devastating families and leaving them terrified and hiding in their homes, often with no way to access food or earn a living.

<div>Thanks to the incredible support from compassionate people near and far, we’ve been able to help keep many families afloat with support through rent assistance, food, hygiene items, and other essentials.

<div><strong>But the work is not over, and the urgent need remains.</strong> Our neighbors need support.

<div>Despite headlines announcing that the metro surge is ending, parents are still too afraid to leave their homes. And even those who are beginning to return to work face devastating financial situations. As March 1 approaches, so do rent due dates. The need among our neighbors in and around Bancroft is far greater than we're able to meet. But you can help!

<div>How the money will be getting to the intended recipients:
</div>
<div>I receive the funds to a bank account that has been specifically opened and allocated solely for the GoFundMe disbursement. A team of us (neighborhood coalition) disperse the money, food and transportation to our neighbors in need. We have been able to use the funds so far to help neighborhood families (with new requests each day and that number will likely grow exponentially), including many children, to stay warm, housed, transported to appts/school and fed during the initial crisis and now during this crucial period of healing and restoration.
