Family and Friends of the Taylors and Rankins,
11,245km from Adelaide, in Eldoret, Kenya, there is a home called Neema Children’s Home & School which has a special place in our hearts.
This home provides care for children, infants to teenagers, who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. Many of these children have come from very traumatic situations.
Currently Neema has 49 precious children needing our help. We would like to offer you an opportunity to join us in helping them out.
Neema has 41 (school age) children, attending the Neema School, who are in desperate need of compulsory new uniforms. Uniforms are worn with pride in Kenya, providing children with identity and a sense of belonging.
Just $52 per child will provide a comprehensive uniform lasting up to 3 years including:
x1 Blouse/Shirt
x1 Dress/Shorts
x1 Stockings/Socks
x1 T-shirt
x1 Games shorts
x1 Sweater
x1 Tracksuit
These uniform costs include measuring and tailoring.
As many of us would understand, traumatized children of all ages are at risk of soiling beds during their sleep.
A donation of $20 per child will help reduce the risk of cross infection and maintain the children’s dignity by ensuring that every bed has a washable mattress protector.
So here is what we are hoping to achieve with your support; we have 60days, prior to the new school year starting, to raise approximately $3200.
Every dollar helps. Whatever you can give will help us achieve this goal. In 1day we have already raised $309.
Monies raised over the $3200 will go to Neema to meet additional needs of the children.
