As some of you may know, the Kennedy/Vars family has had a tough go with their bill of health the last couple of years and they just can't seem to catch a break. It started in April 2017 with a car accident that Alisha was in, multiple surgeries (May 2018 and Feb 2019), a blood clot in her leg (June 2018), extensive recovery time which unfortunately, led to too much unexpected time off from work.
Nick had an unexpected surgery in Dec 2016 and June 2018 and was also off from work for 6-8 weeks. And most recently, Alisha's daughter Aubrey(7) was and is still hospitalized for a severe bacterial infection(streptococcus pneumonia) in her sinuses/eye cavity, periorbital cellulitis and an abscess that has moved into the tissue and muscle around her eye. This infection has required her to have 2 surgeries thus far and an extended hospital stay which means she is out of school and Alisha/Nick/Aubrey's dad rotate work schedules so they can be there for Aubrey.
My hope for Alisha and Nick is to alleviate the stressors of all these circumstances by helping them out financially. The go fund me page was started so that Nick and Alisha can pay for their hospital stay(s), ALL medical bills which includes MULTIPLE surgeries for all of them, rehab/recovery, groceries, gas, living expenses during that time, etc., as they have been off of work and help them walk away from these problems with no financial burdens. Maybe they can even enjoy the warm weather we have been having.
I can say that Nick and Alisha have always been there for me and my husband when we have needed something and I know I am not alone in that. There are so many people who love these two and their family. Let's help them out in their time of need! Thank you to each and every person I have already talked to about donating!
